Objectives for the training days
- Provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge related to mainstreaming sustainable development in vocational teaching
- Ensure that everyone in the project will have the same basis and understanding about sustainable development, particularly in the context of vocational education
- Learn new methodologies for teaching, including inquiry-based/problem-based teaching, and understanding the basis of transformative learning
- Share existing good practices from each partner school and country with other participants
- Include more students and teachers from the host institution in the project work locally
Expected results
- Improved collaboration among the project team
- Improved understanding of mainstreaming education for sustainable development and education for global citizenship in various vocational subjects
- Improved pedagogical skills of VET teachers to integrate sustainable development and global citizenship themes in their teaching through project-based and inquiry-based learning

General objectives for the training days:
Understand how UN SDGs 1-5* are linked to vocational fields of study as well as to personal development as a global citizen.Share experiences, good practices and learning from each partner college: How are our VET colleges engaging with these goals locally? What is done in Nordic and Baltic countries, and in our towns to promote the achievement of these goals?
- Develop VET teachers’ competence to use attractive pedagogical content and methodology particularly on SDGs 1-5 in vocational subjects, tested during the week with students and teachers from partner countries
- Develop participants’ competences in applying UN SDGs 1-5 in everyday life, and in the vocational profession of students
- Develop participants’ transversal skills (21st century skills): entrepreneurial mindset, social, civic, intercultural and language competences, critical thinking and media literacy
- Increase visibility and awareness of UN SDGs locally and within the school
- Include more students and teachers from the host institution working towards the project objectives locally’
- Produce ideas for the digital tool developed in the project
Expected results
- Improved competences in ecological and economical sustainability as well as in basic and transversal skills (21st century skills): entrepreneurial mindset, social, civic, intercultural and language competences, critical thinking and media literacy
- Increased visibility and awareness of the GLO-VET project locally and within the school
- Improved teaching content tested during the week with students and teachers from partner countries
- Developed content for the final project product

a global citizen
– Share experiences, good practices and learning from each partner college: How are our VET colleges engaging with
these goals locally? What is done in Nordic and Baltic countries, and in our towns to promote the achievement of
these goals?

- Finalise the project end product
